About Us
Brix and BAUME™ was humbly established in 24th July 2002 under the sibling-partnership of Ms. Kelly L.M. Yeap and Mr. H.L. Yeap. The following year, Mr. E.T. Yeoh joined them in its expansion. What made them come together? Apparently, nearly 18 years earlier, Mr. Yeap and Mr. Yeoh were both colleagues from a small local cake shop. It was then, the young yet ambitious Mr. Yeap pushed an idea to his senior, Mr. Yeoh, that he may one day run a cakes and pastries shop of their own.
Throughout the years before the idea materialised, Ms. Kelly Yeap trained at an internationally established hotel in Singapore. She was apprenticed and guided by one of the world’s acclaimed pastry chefs from Europe. Her younger brother, Mr. Yeap, received his training from a number of famous hotels in Singapore and Penang. Similarly, Mr. Yeoh was an adventurous pastry chef who excelled in several globally renowned hotels in Penang, as well as, in China. All of them mastered the art of pastry making, by acquiring and learning from the best pastry chefs from around the world. Soon, they felt it was time to realise their idea, and eventually came together to make it happen.
Having been in business for over a decade, Brix and BAUME™ sincerely thanks its loyal patrons in turning this idea into a fruitful one, and shall continue delivering the very best cakes and pastries known in Penang.
Our Locations
Brix and BAUME™ first started its business in Prima Tanjung, Fettes Park for over a decade, and in mid-2019 it relocated its operations to Golden Triangle, Relau. This move was vital to service our valued customers in the south of Penang island, while the Nagore Square main branch that began in early 2012 continues to service those in the north.
Since January 2020, Brix and BAUME™ has been offering free delivery service only within Penang island on orders of 1kg and above. Please call our Jalan Burma store for details. Thank you.
